ImmuX Pulse
Privacy Policy
Last updated
ImmuX Pulse has no accounts or advertising. Optional Google Analytics loads only after you accept it. You can decline and keep using the whole site. Ordinary website delivery and security also involve processing technical request data.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes the ImmuX Pulse website at immuxpulse.com and its public paper feed. References to “we” or “the operator” mean the operator of ImmuX Pulse. It does not cover external journals, DOI services, or other websites you choose to visit. Contact details are at the end of this page.
Website requests and hosting
When the public site is served through Cloudflare, Cloudflare processes technical request information, including IP addresses and traffic data, to deliver and protect it. Browser-supplied request details can include the requested URL, time, browser information, and referring site. The operator may have access to hosting or security logs. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
The application fetches the same public bibliography for all visitors; your archive-month choice is kept only in the current page and is not saved as a preference. Optional analytics is described below.
Cookies and browser storage
When analytics is configured, the application stores your accept or decline choice in this browser’s local storage under immuxpulse.analytics-consent.v1 for up to 180 days. It records the choice, time, and analytics property ID; it is not a visitor identifier. This preference stays on your device and is not sent to the operator. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current page and you may be asked again on a later visit.
After you accept analytics, Google Analytics can set first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. This site configures a maximum cookie lifetime of 180 days from creation; browsers may expire them sooner. Declining blocks the Google tag. Withdrawing consent disables it, clears matching analytics cookies accessible to this site, and reloads the page to stop its listeners. This does not delete data already received by Google.
Cloudflare security features, if enabled, may set cookies needed for those features. Their use depends on the hosting configuration; see Cloudflare’s cookie documentation. You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser. Blocking hosting-security cookies may prevent a security check from working.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is currently disabled because no Measurement ID is configured. If enabled, it will stay off until you choose “Accept analytics.” The controls and handling described here apply when the integration is enabled on the public domain.
With your consent, Google receives usage information such as page views, timestamps, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and referring site. Google receives your IP address as part of the network request; Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses and uses IP information for coarse location processing. See Google’s GA4 privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
We use aggregate reports to understand visits and improve the site. Our page-view configuration removes query strings and fragments from page URLs and reduces referrers to their origin. We do not send email correspondence, patient information, account identities, or a custom user ID to Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in this integration; we do not use Analytics for targeted advertising.
You can accept or decline with equal access to the site, then reopen “Analytics settings” in the footer to change your choice. Consent expires after 180 days or when the configured property changes. Clearing browser storage also resets your choice. You can additionally use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Consent is the legal basis for this optional analytics processing where a legal basis is required.
Messages you choose to send
If you contact the operator by email, the operator and email provider receive your address, message, and any information you include. These are used to respond, address corrections or legal requests, and keep necessary correspondence records. Do not send patient information, medical records, passwords, or unpublished confidential material. There are no contact forms, newsletter signups, or payment features on this site.
Research metadata and AI processing
The bibliography contains publicly credited author names and publication details obtained from scholarly sources. The private curation workflow processes research metadata, permitted abstracts, and commentary using configured service providers, including AI providers. That workflow is separate from visitor browsing: the website application does not send your browsing activity or correspondence to the scientific-assessment model. Public selections contain bibliographic details, not visitors’ personal data.
Purposes, sharing, and legal grounds
Technical data is used to serve the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect its reliability. Correspondence is used to handle the issue you raise. Where a legal basis is required, these activities rely on legitimate interests in providing a secure service and responding to requests, or on applicable legal obligations. Consent is sought where legally required for an optional activity.
Data may be handled by Cloudflare for hosting, by email providers for correspondence, and by Google for analytics if you consent, or disclosed when legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights. The operator does not sell personal information or provide it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This policy does not authorize unrelated marketing use.
Retention, security, and international processing
The application does not maintain its own visitor-history database. If you consent, analytics data is retained in the Google Analytics property under its configured retention settings; aggregated reports can have different retention. Browser-cookie expiration is separate from server-side data retention. Hosting and security logs follow the provider’s settings and applicable obligations; a fixed log-retention period is not promised here. Correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. Public bibliography and editorial audit records can be retained to maintain the archive and document corrections.
Service providers may process data outside your country. Applicable protections and provider terms govern those arrangements. Reasonable access and security safeguards are used, but no internet service or email exchange can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights can have legal limits. Contact the operator to make a request; proportionate identity verification may be needed. We do not require an account to make a request.
Use Analytics settings to withdraw analytics consent on this browser. Browser privacy controls and Global Privacy Control signals do not change the application’s no-sale, no-targeted-advertising behavior. Optional analytics still requires an explicit accept choice.
Children and policy changes
This is a general research-information service, not a service directed to children under 13. The operator does not knowingly seek children’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact the operator so it can be addressed.
Changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised update date. Material changes to data handling will be disclosed before they take effect where required. Following an external DOI or publisher link is subject to that service’s separate privacy policy.
